Forecast MCP

Price, stock and assortment over time for direct-to-consumer brand storefronts. It is a time series, not a product catalogue.

What it is for, and what it is not

Use it for how a price or an assortment has moved. Do not use it to ask what something costs right now — shopping indexes cover current state across tens of billions of listings and do it better.

Marketplaces are deliberately not covered. Amazon, Walmart and other marketplaces and aggregators are excluded at both discovery and selection time, so nothing here overlaps with marketplace price trackers.

Transport is Streamable HTTP. Authorization is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration, so a compliant client registers itself — there is no key to paste. Discovery lives at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource.

Resolves the product, then returns the observed price and stock series rather than today's number.

“What did the median price of sneakers do last week across DTC brands?”

Reads the frozen weekly Index edition, per currency, with no synthetic conversion.

“Is this brand discounting more heavily than it was a month ago?”

Compares published discount depth across editions.

“How many new products has this storefront listed in the last 30 days?”

Returns the count with the caveat that early figures reflect our first crawl, not the merchant's additions.

“Where does Forecast's data come from, and can I cite it?”

Returns the provenance statement: collection rules, honesty constraints and known limitations.

There is no time-limited trial. The free tier is permanent and needs no card — it exists so the data can be evaluated properly before anyone pays for it.

Reading the answers honestly

• Prices are the merchant's own strings in their own currency and are never converted. A currency change reads as a large move and is not one.
• A published Index period is frozen. Figures do not change between two readings, which is what makes them citable.
• New-listing counts start when Forecast first saw a storefront, not when the merchant created the product. Early figures for a newly tracked storefront reflect our first crawl.
• Where a figure would be thin or imprecise it is omitted rather than published with a caveat.
